What is a side radar panel?
We have combined market leading side radar safety systems from Fonix into our own impact tested PeoplePanel® technology to maximise return on investment for vehicle operators while enhancing road safety for vulnerable road users.
Premium side and front radar systems are highly effective at detecting people around a vehicle on site or in an urban area and meet the stringent DVS 2023 regulations mandated by TfL.
The radar equipment is carefully incorporated onto our market-leading flat safety panels at point of manufacture to ISO9001 standards. This unique puts us in a position to provide two award-winning vehicle safety products that seamlessly complement each other, all in one package.

Most large vehicles over the next few years will need to be equipped with radar, as this technology replaces traditional side sensors and becomes the new standard for safe operations on UK roads. The introduction of front radar ‘Moving Off Information Systems’ (MOIS) and Blind Spot Information Systems (BSIS) are already being introduced by lorry manufacturers, however longer vehicle working lives mean that responsible operators with even recently introduced vehicles will be looking for cost-effective solutions for their fleets to keep them compliant.
